Role Description

We want a deeply curious, AI-first engineer who:

• Loves understanding systems at a fundamental level
• Has built, hacked, broken, and rebuilt real-world systems
• Thinks independently and takes ownership without needing handholding
• Writes clean, thoughtful, and high-quality code
• Is excited by AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code, LLM workflows, developer copilots)
• Can quickly pick up new technologies regardless of prior stack

You might come from Java, C++, Python, Node, or any strong engineering background. What matters is your ability to learn fast, reason deeply, and build well.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building the next generation of our platform.

You will contribute not just code, but ideas, architecture, and engineering culture. You will work closely with product and leadership to shape systems that are scalable, reliable, and AI-native.

• Design and build scalable backend systems and APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, high-performance code
• Lead and contribute primarily in Postgres, Python and Node.js
• Architect systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and extensibility
• Build and integrate AI-powered workflows and LLM-driven features
• Collaborate across teams to deliver high-impact solutions
• Own features end-to-end: design → build → test → deploy → monitor
• Debug and solve complex system-level problems
• Contribute to and elevate engineering standards and code reviews

What You Bring

Core Engineering Strength

• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Good understanding of object-oriented design and software architecture
• Experience building real-world, enterprise grade systems
• Ability to reason about trade-offs and design decisions

Technical Experience

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in at least one major language (Java, C++, Python, PHP, Node, etc.)
• Experience with or willingness to learn
• Strong knowledge of databases, APIs, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with microservices and API-driven architectures

AI & Modern Development Mindset

• Comfortable using or exploring AI-assisted development tools(e.g., Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI)
• Interest in LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-driven systems
• Curiosity to experiment, prototype, and iterate quickly

Mindset & Traits

• Highly self-driven and independent
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent attention to detail and code quality
• Excellent communication in English

Bonus Points

• Experience migrating or modernizing legacy systems
• Exposure to document processing, OCR, or data extraction systems
• Experience with testing frameworks and automation
• Background in performance optimization or large-scale systems
• Experience in using Claude Code or other AI tools for rapid prototyping
