Role Description

We are seeking a deeply curious, AI-first Senior QA Engineer to own the quality of our AI-native document processing platform. In this role, you will champion product quality across our user interface, robust APIs, and the precision of the data our AI models deliver to global enterprises.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

What You’ll Work On

• Define Test Strategy & Culture: Own end-to-end quality strategy across web applications, APIs, integrations, and data outputs while championing a shift-left mindset and rigorous quality standards across the team.
• Automation & CI/CD: Design, build, and maintain automated UI and API test suites (using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium), integrating them seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback.
• AI Workflow Testing: Build real-world document datasets to test and verify the accuracy, consistency, and edge-case resilience of our AI-driven models across various layouts, languages, and formats (XML, JSON).
• Comprehensive Testing Lifecycle: Plan and execute thorough exploratory, regression, performance, and basic security tests, driving defect resolution collaboratively with software engineers.

What You Bring

• Experience & Testing Fundamentals: 5+ years of professional software QA experience with strong test design fundamentals, risk-based testing, and proven exploratory testing skills in enterprise-grade web applications.
• Technical & Automation Skills: Hands-on experience developing test automation suites in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java, along with strong API testing capabilities (e.g. Postman, REST Assured) and working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL.
• CI/CD & Cloud: Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and microservices/cloud architectures.
• AI & Modern Mindset: Curiosity and enthusiasm for LLMs, AI-driven workflows, and using modern AI-assisted development tools (such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex) to accelerate testing.
• Communication & Problem Solving: High attention to detail, independent problem-solving skills, and a strong user-first mindset. Fluent English is a requirement for this role.

Bonus Points

Exposure to OCR or document processing systems, performance testing tools (k6, JMeter), e-invoicing and ERP standards (UBL, Peppol), or ISTQB certifications.
